Ecological paths, a canyon, wild animals and an excellent view of the Iguassu waterfalls are just some of the attractions this unforgettable excursion keeps for you in the heart of the Iguassu National Park.
The grand adventure begins at the entrance gate to the Macuco Safari, set at the 25 Km. of the Waterfalls Road, within the Iguassu National Park, where the visitors get on open vehicles that allow a wide view of the natural scenery along the path. During this 3 Km. itinerary across the forest, polyglot guides introduce the flora and fauna species of the Park: Orquids, bromeliaceous, palms, and centennial trees, besides the wild animals that very often happen to cross the path.
Walking along the path, the second stage, which takes 600 meters (optional), leads the group to the cascade called Macuco Fall. This fall -perfect for a pleasant refreshing shower on hot days, falls down from a height of 20 meters. The access is followed over a stairway made of millennial rocks. The last stop is the Macuco Safari quay, on the Brazilian margins of the Iguassu River.
On the water, the inflatable motor-powered boats, made in accordance with the needs of the tour, are safe and efficient. Before getting on them passengers are provided with life vests and plastic bags to protect filming and photographing items. The boat goes up the river through the canyon, among rapids, and always at an average speed that allows appreciating the landscape.
Rocks, animals and much lush paint the picture up to the base of the grand waterfalls, next to the huge “horseshoe” known as “Devil’s throat”. Cascades bath - Rainbow, blue sky, mist and drizzling water create the spectacle that has its peak in the falls (cascades) named “Três mosqueteiros”. Once there the pilot drives the boat close enough to them to give a quick and funny “bath” to the passengers. And as at the end of the “game” usually everybody gets wet, those who feel very easily cold must not forget to bring with them extra clothing. Another important tip: wear comfortable shoes and cloths.
